Today I took a moment to write about the one I love...

The day I met you, I should have walked away,

Only to tempt fate twice
Because surely we would meet again.

The one I love smiles like the sun,

Yet I never knew not to stare to long
Because surely pretty does hurt.

The walks past midnight we would take,

Just so we could hear each other’s thoughts in the silence of the moon.

Songs penned down on rocks just so the stars could read the lyrics
Still they remember that “baby girl it’s your birthday”.

I took today to write about the one I loved,

Turns out there's nothing to write
Because Whatever was meant to be said was never said.

Today I took a moment to write to the one I loved,

Turns out the one I love will never know
Cause the one I loved loves someone I could have loved.
